Since its inception on June 15, 2014, CollabMiami has been led by Creative Director George Cuevas, founder of SquareHue, with the ideal that better relationships lead to better business. CollabMiami is a place for freelancers to establish real relationships with other freelancers and not just be members of a “networking” club. Attending freelancers quickly catch the vision as genuine people doing extraordinary work surround them. The collective goal of CollabMiami is to exchange ideas and provide advice amongst friends traveling the same freelance path together. The process is simple: NewWorkers are emailed the next meet up location and they show up to work alongside newfound freelance friends.
CollabMiami – SpeakUp
This Friday, May 1st, The SpeakUp Discussion Series will have its inaugural session. These series of talks are geared towards getting freelancers to talk about issues that are important to them. SpeakUps maintain the casual and friendly CollabMiami meetup environment that allows freelancers to participate and feel part of a bigger freelance/solopreneur community.
In the first session, Annabel Mendez of Marketites will bring her marketing expertise to discuss marketing at the freelance level. Alongside Annabel will be her business partner, Elizabeth Monterray, who will explain the importance of your online digital presence. David Verjano of Verjano Communications will chat about solopreneurs and the goals of social media. Lia Figueredo of Milk Media Co. will get you in the know with which qualities will get you hired as a freelancer. Denisse Monge of DM6Designs will offer tips to ease the transition of becoming a freelancer. To round out the series, our very own George Cuevas, founder of CollabMiami, will discuss freelance business practices.
Please join us at Chamber South, 6410 SW 80th Street, Miami Florida 33143 this Friday. Bring all your questions and take notes to help take your freelance business to the next level. Attendance is free, but seating is limited. Reserve your spot at CollabMiami.com today.
